The Lord of the Rings web series will be released in 2022

Here is good news for “Lord of the Rings” fans! The highly anticipated “The Lord of the Rings” web-series will be released in September 2022, with new episodes each week, which will take viewers on an epic new journey through Middle-earth.

The upcoming epic drama is said to be based on the story of Middle-earth by author JRR Tolkien. Although plot details are not being disclosed, it is said that the story takes place thousands of years before the events of the “Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” books.

PTI reports that the “Lord of the Rings” web series is directed by showrunners and executive producers JD Payne and Patrick McKay. The duo said working on the show was an “adventure of a lifetime.”
